DO YOU HAVE AUDITION PREPARATORY SKATING CLASSES THAT I CAN ATTEND?

Yes, skating classes will be held during the summer months. These classes will prepare you for the actual audition. Attendance is strongly recommended. The classes will be a great way to see how fast you can pick up on the Thrashers Ice Drills (this is a working ice maintenance team).


WHAT ARE YOUR HEIGHT AND WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS?

We do not have any. Applicants should be in top physical condition.


DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING?

Due to events taking place downtown, please be prepared to pay for parking.


WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?

You must be at least 19 years of age.

WHAT DO THE JUDGES LOOK FOR AT AUDITIONS?

The judges evaluate your physical

fitness, showmanship, poise, and personality.


WHAT IS THE ATTIRE FOR AUDITIONS?

Each participant should wear a two piece outfit for finals, sports bra/halter and boy shorts/briefs, tights. If you have skates please bring them.


WHERE ARE AUDITIONS HELD?

All audition information will be announced closer to the start of auditions.


CAN MY FAMILY COME AND WATCH AUDITIONS?

Auditions will be closed to the public for viewing.


DO CURRENT TEAM MEMBERS HAVE TO RE-AUDITION?

Yes, all members must go through the audition process every year and are not guaranteed their place on the team.


WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE INTERVIEW PROCESS?

This is a professional interview. Please be prepared to introduce yourself and provide an overview of your background, education, future goals, etc. Review your Thrashers trivia and hockey knowledge.


WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS?

Please ensure that you are in good physical condition prior to auditions. Interested participants are strongly encouraged to have a work out plan that includes some physical activity at least three-four times a week. Team members are required to be in top physical shape. Your fitness level will be a critical factor in the evaluation.


HOW SHOULD I FIX MY HAIR AND MAKE-UP?

Your make-up should be glamorous, complimentary and appropriate for an athletic environment! Your hair and makeup need to be performance quality (no pony tails).


WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT? IS THIS A FULL-TIME JOB?

Being a member of the Blue Crew is not a full-time job. Most team members have full-time or part-time jobs. The time commitment is usually 25 hours a week plus promotional appearances.
